Much to the surprise of many people in the industry, that guessed that either Coremetrics or Unica NetInsight would be removed from the market, IBM has decided - as it had for a while - to keep both solutions and their unique…"
"DME is the best option as it represents the complete external data extension.
Primary requirements of data availability are same for DME/condits with parameter value rewrite/lookup but DME offer more benefits."
I have a page tag parameter that gets a value on the page load and is apart of the base tag. e.g. when the page loads, following base tag fires: https:/example.com/images/ntpagetag.gif&js=1&ts=12345&lc=www.example.com/mypage.jsp?rf=blabla&rs=1280x1024&theme=t1 There is a drop down (let's assume it's named as theme) on the page/form that has a bunch of values (t1,t2,t3 etc.) in it. It is an optional field. Visitor may or may not select one of the themes from the dropdown. If…See More

When someone closes the DHTML layer (assuming /dfoo.html) after using the content, the underlying page /foo.html will become visible (withoout reloading /foo.html, please correct me if my assumption is incorrect) and in that case the base tag…"
"For a very basic implementation this should work. However you need to make sure that
* Your gif path is modified in the js. (or If you are setting the NTPT_IMGSRC variable at the page then that is modified and pointing to new image location)
For pages the answer is "Unfortunately Not". A page is identified by parameter lc that you may not (and is NOT recommeded by Unica) be able to override using this. However you always can define event parameters(name valuepairs) in…"

By default NetInsight engine decides how the AND/OR operators will be placed while handeling more than one filter conditions. e.g. the rule it follws is that if two/or more filter conditions pertain to the same entity it inserts OR clause in them (makes sense) but when it encounters another filter based on a different entity it forces AND condition. e.g. if your filter looks like Parameter Value for paramA: VALUE1Parameter Value for paramA: VALUE2 where clause will execute the query with OR…See More
"It certainly is a very interesting issue. I guess If you could somehow get the userid to be parsed as a parameter. Try using "Field" parameter type to parse out Userid from you log file and base it on visit (assuming that userid is a…"
Wonderful! That's exactly what we started this group for. We've implemented NetInsight for around 15 websites and definitely have learned a few lessons along the way. We also have fully integrated with data warehouse systems. There are features that we love and ones we've created work-arounds to live with. I am very interested to share and hear tips and tricks.
